On the one hand, the development of cotton spinning machinery should focus on improving and upgrading traditional equipment by integrating modern network and information technologies. This will help achieve partial continuous production, enabling 10,000 spindles to be managed by around 70 employees. Additionally, a new generation of cotton spinning equipment with independent intellectual property rights is being developed, utilizing digital, networked, and information technologies to enhance automation and streamline production processes. These advanced systems aim to increase speed, simplify structures, and reduce manufacturing costs, thereby meeting the requirements of intelligent and modern cotton spinning operations. This new technology can manage 10,000 spindles with approximately 30 employees, and the yarn quality has reached about 15% of the Uster bulletin standard.
Improving traditional cotton spinning equipment involves enhancing mechanical-electrical integration, increasing automation levels, and partially realizing continuous spinning and automated process control. The main units being developed include a high-efficiency short-flow combing machine suitable for different spinning processes, a high-yield combing unit, a self-leveling high-speed drawing frame, a high-speed drawing frame connected to the card, and a multi-motor-driven roving machine. Other key components include an automatic roving machine, an automatic doffing high-speed spinning machine, a collecting spinning frame, a semi-automatic joint high-speed rotor spinning machine, an imported-technology-based automatic rotor spinning machine, and a fine-linking type automatic winder.
The development of these host machines must incorporate intelligent control functions, including network interfaces and connectivity. During the continuous spinning process, research is focused on automatic feeding of cans and rovings, fully automatic combing, and the implementation of rough yarn automatic doffing and fine combination. Efforts are also being made to improve the quality and reliability of critical components such as carding machines, cradles, rubber rollers, rubber rings, steel collars, wire rings, and spindles.
A new generation of cotton spinning equipment is being developed using modern information networks, digital technology, expert systems, online detection, display, automatic control, adjustment, and network monitoring of the textile production process. Remote diagnosis and remote service capabilities are also being integrated into spinning factories. By applying robot technology and flexible production methods, the spinning process becomes highly automated, ensuring that cotton spinning equipment strictly follows set process requirements. This replaces manual operations with large-scale, quantitative, and precise mechanical automation, which enhances product quality and ensures consistent performance. The spun yarn quality now reaches about 15% of the Uster bulletin standard, and labor productivity has significantly increased, with 10,000 spindles managed by only 30 workers.
Research and development focuses on high-yield carding machines, digital self-leveling single-eye high-speed drawing frames, digital multi-motor-driven combing machines, fully automatic combing systems, automatic doffing CNC gathering spinning machines, two types of multi-motor-driven digital automatic winders (gauze-type and fine-linking), high-speed automatic rotor spinning machines, and automated feeding of cans and rovings. The goal is to achieve automatic combing, thickness control, and fine combination during the spinning process. A demonstration production line of a new generation of cotton spinning complete sets with independent intellectual property rights will be established.
