Cylon Systems, a leading name in safety monitoring equipment, has formed a strategic alliance with Archos, a global leader in consumer electronics and digital handheld entertainment solutions. This collaboration has resulted in the development of an innovative security technology tailored for British law enforcement. Drawing inspiration from Aivision’s AV 500 portable video recording system, Cylon selected Archos to design a custom visualization security solution known as the Cylon HeadCam Recording System, or Cylon Headset Digital Camera System.
This advanced, hands-free head-mounted camera is designed for law enforcement professionals. It can continuously record high-quality video for up to 12 hours using hard disk-based digital video recorders. The device features a 4-inch color screen for instant playback, allowing officers to review footage on the spot. The recorded evidence can then be used in court, significantly improving the speed and accuracy of convictions. Additionally, the built-in microphone captures audio, enabling officers to collect voice recordings from witnesses and victims directly at crime scenes.
