Chicago Police Officer Injured in Logan Square Crash
According to reports, a police officer responding to a burglary call sustained injuries in a traffic collision today in the Logan Square area. The incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. near Sacramento Avenue and George Street when the officer's squad car collided with another vehicle.
Chicago Police Department spokesperson Veejay Zala confirmed that the officer, whose age and gender remain undisclosed, was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition. Fortunately, no other individuals were reported injured in the crash. Zala did not provide further details regarding the nature of the officer's injuries.
Eyewitness Tim Olk captured several photos at the scene, offering a closer look at the aftermath. One image shows a Chicago Police vehicle perched atop a parked car, while another reveals the damaged SUV involved in the collision.
