This time, we're looking at a suburban fire scene. It was a box or second alarm call in the old Battalion 7, which is now part of Division 20. The location was either Maywood or Bellwood—I'm not exactly sure which. There are some action shots here, and maybe someone will recognize some of the firefighters in the photos. I always had a soft spot for the rigs, especially the ALF water chiefs, though I heard they had their fair share of issues with the local water supply.
There are also a few photos from a fire in Glenview—a vacant supermarket. The Snorkel shown is the original Glenbrook unit before its major rebuild.
All of these images were taken in the 1980s. They offer a glimpse into the firefighting history of the area, capturing both the equipment and the people who served.
