From Scott Peterson:
Just came across this while driving through Hebron, IL. It was purchased from a fireman in Skokie by Doug Reno. The rig will be on display at the Illinois Railway Museum this weekend and the following two weekends. It's going to be used to fill the steam engine The Leviathan. The piping on the driver's side was custom made for a quick-fill method while the rig is in Union, allowing the steam engine to be refilled efficiently. The rig is in excellent condition! It's equipped with WLF, model 80-1129.
Here are some photos of the 1975 Ward LaFrance Ambassador engine from Wadsworth, OH. It's a classic piece of firefighting history and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. The museum is a great place to see vintage fire apparatus up close and learn more about the evolution of emergency services. If you're a fan of old-school fire trucks, this is a must-see!
