I just wanted to share some photos I took recently while exploring Chicago's waterfront. The city has such a rich maritime history, and it was fascinating to see these boats up close. Here’s what caught my eye during my visit.

This first image shows one of the iconic fireboats that patrol Lake Michigan. It’s incredible how these vessels play a crucial role in keeping the harbor safe. You can almost hear the sound of the waves crashing against its hull!
