Application of Pressure Change Wellhead Gate Valve in Luojiang County

Recently, the Southwest Petroleum Bureau's Oil and Gas Testing Center successfully completed a pressure-changing operation on the gas wellhead gate valve at Well Chuanhe No. 127, effectively addressing the blockage caused by calcium deposits through conventional acidizing. As a result, the Nissan natural gas flow reached 56,000 cubic meters per day, and the old well was revitalized with great success. Located in Panjiang Town, Luojiang County, near the banks of the Kai River, the Chuanhe No. 127 well is part of the Hexing field structure and was previously an aging well. Before this operation, after a secondary workover, the unobstructed gas flow was over 10,000 cubic meters per day. However, during the shut-in period, a leakage issue was detected in the main tree valve, which posed a significant safety risk. Traditionally, replacing the tree gate valve would require stabilizing the well pressure first, which could be time-consuming and costly. The successful implementation of the pressure-changing wellhead gate valve technology at Chuanhe No. 127 not only saved substantial costs but also avoided any damage to the production layer, ensuring environmental protection and preserving the integrity of the reservoir. This achievement marks a significant advancement in well maintenance and operational efficiency in the region.
