Over the past few months, we’ve been in touch with FWD/Seagrave in Clintonville, Wisconsin. They reached out to us expressing interest in showcasing one of our three Water Towers temporarily at their museum. After sorting out all the logistics, Water Tower 3—a 1923 Seagrave—was transported to the FWD/Seagrave Museum in Wisconsin. The whole process went smoothly thanks to the hard work of several dedicated individuals who helped make this happen.
Here are some photos from the move, along with a couple of the gentlemen who played key roles in getting everything organized and executed. It’s always exciting to see these historic pieces find new homes where they can continue educating and inspiring people about firefighting history.

Special thanks to everyone involved, especially Dennis, for making this collaboration possible. It’s collaborations like these that help preserve and share the rich legacy of firefighting in the greater Chicago area.

This update reflects how important it is to collaborate with other institutions to keep the story of firefighting alive. Each piece in our collection has its own unique journey, and sharing them with wider audiences helps deepen appreciation for the evolution of fire safety and equipment over time.
