We previously mentioned that several new units are currently on order with Crimson for the Chicago Fire Department. Brian Cummings, from Marshall, Michigan, recently shared some photos of two Spartan chassis sitting on the lot at Spartan Motors, waiting to be transported to Crimson for final assembly. One of the chassis is intended for an engine unit for the fire academy, while the other—featuring a bright lime green cab and chassis—is reportedly destined for O'Hare International Airport.

It’s always exciting to see these new units taking shape, especially when they’re destined for such important locations like the fire academy and O'Hare. The lime green color stands out, making it easy to spot once it’s on the road. These updates give us a glimpse into the future of Chicago’s fire fleet, and we're looking forward to seeing them in action soon.
