MABAS Division 11 fire trucks

Hey everyone, This just in from Dan McInerney! Last week, MABAS Division 11 put together an impressive division-wide Blue Card exercise at the Cicero Fire Department's training tower. It was a fantastic opportunity for departments across Division 11 to practice essential fireground activities, with a special focus on improving radio protocols. Even though the weather wasn't ideal—rain and clouds made it tough to get some great shots—I still managed to snap a few. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights: First up is North Riverside Fire Department’s Truck 806. The crisp image captures the vehicle perfectly, showcasing its readiness for action. Dan McInerney did a great job taking this shot. Next, we’ve got Forest Park Fire Department’s Engine 401. This engine looks strong and prepared, ready to respond to any situation. Dan’s photography really brings out the details. Then there’s Berwyn Fire Department’s Engine 903. Another solid piece of equipment, clearly maintained to the highest standards. You can almost feel the professionalism radiating from the picture. Berwyn also has a quint, number 901. The photos show both the rear and side views of this versatile firefighting vehicle. Dan’s attention to detail makes these images stand out. Berwyn’s Truck 904 is another impressive piece of machinery. The photo highlights its size and capability, making it clear why this truck is such a vital part of their fleet. And of course, we can’t forget Cicero Fire Department’s Ladder 2. Multiple photos showcase this ladder truck from different angles, each capturing its strength and utility. There’s also a suburban Cook County EOC center rig, which is quite intriguing. Although I don’t have all the details about it yet, the Cook County Mobile Command Unit looks like it means business. Dan’s photo of this unit is particularly striking. Finally, we have members of Cicero Fire Department operating on the forcible entry simulator. Watching them work the door prop is truly inspiring. Dan managed to capture the intensity and precision of their efforts. Other images from the drill include firefighters preparing to enter the tower, two firemen climbing the ladder of Berwyn Truck 904, and several members gathering between exercises. These photos really give you a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among the firefighters. It’s always exciting to see how these drills bring everyone together and help improve our firefighting skills. Looking forward to more updates as they come in! Stay safe, stay strong, and keep the good work going! Best, [Your Name]
