Local apparatus photos

Scott Peterson recently shared a few photos capturing the Palatine Rural Fire Protection District's Tender 36 and the Rolling Meadows Fire Department's Engine 16. These images offer a glimpse into the history and equipment that serve their communities. The first photo shows **Palatine Rural Tender 36**, a unit built by US Tank in 1988 on an HME 1871 chassis. It’s equipped with a 1,250-GPM pump and carries 3,200 gallons of water, making it a reliable resource for rural firefighting. The image was taken by Scott Peterson, who has a passion for documenting local fire apparatus. Next is **Rolling Meadows Engine 16**, a 2004 American LaFrance Eagle. This engine features a powerful 1,500-GPM pump, 750 gallons of water capacity, and two 30-gallon foam tanks, which enhance its ability to tackle a wide range of incidents. The second photo highlights the driver’s side of the truck, while the third focuses on the officer’s side, giving viewers a full view of the vehicle's layout and functionality. These photos not only showcase the vehicles themselves but also reflect the dedication of the firefighters who rely on them daily. Scott Peterson’s collection continues to be a valuable visual record of emergency services in the area.
