Last Friday evening, emergency responders from the Waukegan Fire Department were dispatched to 545 W Water Street following reports of a house fire. Upon their arrival, they encountered a significant blaze that quickly prompted an upgrade to a MABAS Box Alarm, signaling the need for additional support and resources.
Attached is a striking image captured by Larry Shapiro, showing the extent of the damage inflicted on the property. The fire left much of the structure severely gutted, highlighting the urgency and intensity of the situation.
