Recently, the National Automobile Electrical Standardization Technical Committee has finalized five new industry standards for automotive electrical components. These include: "Technical Conditions for Power Window Switches in Vehicles," "Technical Conditions for Electromagnetic Clutches in Automotive Air Conditioners," "Technical Conditions for Motors for Vehicle Windows and Window Lifters," "Technical Conditions for Electric Window Anti-Clamp Electronic Modules," and "Technical Conditions for Combination Switches on Steering Columns for Vehicles." These standards are now open for public comment and will be officially released after final expert reviews.
Among these, three standards specifically target the electric window market. They cover the technical conditions for power window switches, motors used in window lifters, and anti-clamp electronic modules. This marks the first time an industry standard has been developed for electric windows in recent years, as there had been a long-standing gap in this area.
Power windows, which use motor-driven mechanisms to raise and lower vehicle glass, have evolved from luxury features into standard equipment in most cars today. However, with their widespread adoption, issues such as safety, durability, and performance have become more prominent. Reports of consumers being injured by pinching windows have raised concerns. The lack of standardized regulations has led to a fragmented market, with inconsistent testing procedures and low entry barriers for manufacturers.
To address these challenges, the National Development and Reform Commission initiated the development of industry standards last year, with the National Automobile Electrical Standardization Technical Committee leading the drafting process. Experts involved in the project emphasized that the new standards not only align with international technical requirements but also consider the current state and future growth of the industry. They provide clear guidelines on performance, testing, and quality control, ensuring greater safety and reliability for consumers.
In addition to the electric window standards, the revised "Technical Conditions for Combination Switches on Steering Columns for Vehicles" updates the previous QC/T 218-1996 standard. As vehicles increasingly integrate electronic modules into steering column switches, the updated standard addresses the evolving technological landscape. It includes detailed specifications for electronic components, ensuring compatibility and safety in modern vehicles.
Another newly formulated standard, "Technical Conditions for Electromagnetic Clutches for Automotive Air Conditioners," fills a critical gap in the industry. With no unified technical standard for air conditioning electromagnetic clutches, manufacturers and users faced difficulties in evaluating product quality. This new standard aims to improve industry practices by defining performance requirements, testing methods, and inspection procedures, ultimately enhancing the quality and consistency of air conditioning systems.
Overall, these developments reflect a growing effort to modernize and regulate the automotive electrical industry, ensuring better quality, safety, and consumer confidence.
Cnc Milling
How Does 5-axis CNC MILLING WORK?
Milling is the process of cutting and drilling material using a rotating cylindrical tool. This tool is held in a spindle and comes in a variety of sizes and forms. With 5-axis machining, there have two extra rotary axes defined by A, which rotates around the X axis, B, which rotates around the Y axis, and C, which rotates around the Z axis. The combination of additional axes depends on the machine and comes in variations, including AB, AC, or BC.
With 5-axis machining, the table or cutting tool can be tilted, creating the ability to avoid collision with the tool holder and allowing for better access to part geometry. This also ensures improved tool life and cycle time as it helps maintain cutting position and constant chip load. This type of machining offers a push toward single-setup machining, creating shorter lead times and increasing efficiency.
CNC milling is complex machining technique which utilizes several types of pre-programmed CAM and CNC controls to build customized components or parts. We are professional custom CNC milling company and 5 Axis CNC Milling Service provider in China, we offer the manufacturing of precision machined parts and solutions at affordable rates to meet the growing demands of the clients across the world.
