The pressure transmitter in the general sense consists of three parts: a load cell sensor (also called a pressure sensor), a measurement circuit, and a process connection. It can convert the physical pressure parameters, such as gas and liquid, sensed by the load cell sensors into standard electrical signals (such as 4-20mADC, etc.) to provide secondary instruments such as indicator alarms, recorders, and regulators for measurement and indication. And process adjustments.

The pressure transmitter is a meter that accepts the pressure variable and converts the pressure change amount to a standard output signal after sensing conversion. The output signal of the transmitter is transmitted to the central control room for pressure indication, recording or control.

Pressure transmitter classification:

1. Gauge pressure transmitter:

Gauge pressure transmitters are pressure transmitters that use local atmospheric pressure as a reference zero point.


2. Absolute pressure transmitter:

The absolute pressure transmitter is a pressure transmitter with vacuum as reference zero point. During use, the reference zero point of the sensor can be automatically adjusted without any correction according to the geographical location. The shape and gauge pressure transmitter are no different.


3 differential pressure transmitter:

The differential pressure transmitter is a pressure transmitter that measures the pressure difference between two pressure chambers. The differential pressure transmitter has two pressure chambers of "+" and "-", respectively. Respectively take the pressure of the two as the comparison value, usually the larger pressure end as "+" pressure chamber.

Note: When ordering a differential pressure sensor, please note that one parameter specific to the differential pressure transmitter is static pressure resistance. For example, if the pressure transmitter of our application is used with a pressure of 10 MPa at the “+” pressure end and a pressure of 10.5 MPa at the “-” pressure end, then the differential pressure measured by the transmitter is: 10.5 -10=0.5MPa , the static pressure of the transmitter is 10MPa. In the application process, the use of high static pressure and low differential pressure are commonplace. The differential pressure transmitter ordered by the static pressure should not exceed the differential pressure transmitter's tolerance static pressure value, otherwise it is easily damaged.


4. Input/plug level transmitters:

Level transmitters are divided into input and plug-in two, the two forms are the same, are all converted to the liquid pressure. When the water depth is 1m, the pressure on the transmitter is 10KPa. When ordering such sensors, pay attention:

1. The density of the measured liquid should be reported to the production unit.

2. When the measurement medium is corrosive, the production unit should be informed.

3. The production unit is informed when the measured medium temperature exceeds a too low or too high temperature .


5. High temperature pressure transmitter:

For the high ambient temperature or high temperature of the measurement medium in the measurement site, a medium and high temperature pressure transmitter must be used. The transmitter has a good zero temperature coefficient and sensitivity temperature coefficient, and can ensure the measurement accuracy in a high temperature environment. . When ordering this type of transmitter, it is necessary to inform the measuring medium temperature and the ambient temperature so as to make the manufacturer's reasonable response.
