On Wednesday, August 11, emergency crews were deployed across Milwaukee County following a series of severe storms that hit the area overnight. The storm caused widespread power outages, leaving thousands without electricity for several hours.

 

We Energies reported that they were fully mobilized and working on what is considered the largest restoration effort in the company's history. The damage caused by Tuesday’s storms was extensive, and in some areas, it could take several days to fully restore power.

 

Additionally, numerous vehicles and homes suffered damage due to falling trees and debris from the storm. Local residents are now waiting for crews to return and begin repairs as the community works to recover from the impact of the weather event.
