The BW-320 plunger mud pump is a versatile horizontal triplex single-acting reciprocating piston pump designed with eight flow rates using two cylinders and four gear transmissions. This makes it ideal for a wide range of drilling applications, such as 1000-meter hydraulic impact drilling, 1500-meter screw drilling, and 2500-meter core drilling. It can also be used for grouting in soft foundations, construction drilling, well drilling, mountain water supply, mine drainage, and dike grouting.
During the drilling process, the mud pump supplies the borehole with sufficient fluid to circulate and carry cuttings to the surface. This ensures that the bottom of the hole remains clean, prevents wall collapse, and cools and lubricates the drill bits and tools. The flushing fluid should not contain any corrosive chemicals that could damage metal or rubber parts. When using mud, the recommended water-to-mud ratio is between 1.03 and 1.12, with a viscosity of 18–25S, silt content below 4%, sand particle diameter less than 3mm, and a pH value around 7–8. No small mud balls, weeds, or leaves are allowed in the mud.
