**Product Overview:**
The 2CY series gear pump is a type of lubricating oil pump designed for use in various mechanical equipment lubrication systems. It is ideal for conveying lubricating oil with a viscosity of 10°E (75°C.ST) and at temperatures up to 80°C. This pump is also suitable for handling corrosive media, non-lubricating fluids, and liquids containing solid particles. For high-temperature applications or situations where the medium is corrosive, the unit can be equipped with high-temperature resistant materials.
For non-lubricating oils, beverages, or low-corrosive water, it is recommended to choose a fully stainless steel gear pump, which the company offers in production.
In addition to standard motors, this series of pumps can be configured with explosion-proof motors based on customer requirements. Users should specify the explosion-proof level (such as KB, B2d, or B3d) when placing an order.
**Structure Instruction:**
The 2CY series gear pump consists of several key components, including the pump body, gears, front and rear pump covers, safety valve, bearings, and sealing device.
1. **Pump Body:** The pump body, front and rear covers, and other parts are typically made of gray iron castings. The gears are manufactured from high-quality carbon steel, but copper or stainless steel options are available upon request.
2. **Safety Valve:** The 2CY series does not include a built-in safety valve. Users must install one in the pipeline system during operation. In contrast, KCB and 2CY series pumps feature a safety valve body integrated into the pump or pump cover. If the pump or discharge pipe fails, or if the discharge valve is completely closed, the safety valve will automatically open to release excess pressure back to the suction chamber, protecting both the pump and piping.
3. **Bearings:** The 2CY series uses DU bearings, and tin bronze bearings can be used according to user preferences. Some models, such as KCB133–960 and 2CY8–60, offer three types of bearings: DU, tin bronze, and rolling. The bearing type should be specified during ordering, as default supply is usually based on the DU structure.
4. **Shaft Seal:** There are three types of shaft seals available: skeleton oil seal, mechanical seal, and packing seal.
- **Skeleton Oil Seal:** Easy to maintain and replace, but has a shorter lifespan. Chloroprene rubber seals are suitable for environments below 100°C, while fluorine rubber seals can handle up to 200°C.
- **Mechanical Seal:** Offers reliable sealing and long service life, though it is more expensive. The seal is made of stainless steel, with dynamic and static rings made of YG8 hard alloy or graphite.
- **Packing Seal:** Used only in high-temperature oil pumps. It provides good heat resistance and minimal leakage, but requires periodic adjustment based on the leakage situation. Suitable for temperatures below 250°C.
5. **Inlet and Outlet Type:** The inlet and outlet ports of the 2CY series are British pipe threads (G), directly machined into the pump body. KCB18.3–200 and 2CY1.1–12 models come with flanges on the threaded ports, while others do not. Flange compatibility should be specified when ordering.
6. **Motor Connection:** The pump is connected to the motor via an elastic coupling and installed on a common base frame.
