The first auto parts exhibition will be held in Shanghai at the end


From December 2nd to 4th, 2004, the Shanghai International Automotive Parts and Repair Inspection and Diagnosis & Service Products Fair (abbreviation: 2004 Shanghai Auto Parts & Accessories Exhibition) will be officially held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in Pudong. The exhibition was jointly organized by Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Foreign Science and Technology Exchange Center and China Automotive Foreign Economic and Technical Cooperation Corporation. The exhibition attracted a great deal of interest from domestic and foreign companies, and about 200 companies from 24 countries and regions confirmed their participation.

The 2004 Shanghai Auto Parts Exhibition covers an area of ​​10,000 square meters. The exhibition will include Austria, Germany, Italy, Slovenia and China Taiwan Pavilion. In addition to purchasing a wide range of local auto aftermarket equipment and other products, the audience can also find internationally renowned brands such as: Volkswagen, General Motors, Daimler-Kreisler, Denso, Germany, Bestbaut, Germany. Würth, ZF Friedrichshafen, China Yuan Zheng Technology, Shanghai Baolong Industry, Hermann Zerver and Heyco Werk Heynen.

Foreign manufacturers began to realize the strong demand for China's auto aftermarket. From January to September 2004, the total amount of imported auto parts and components in China exceeded US$5.8 billion. About 25% of the exhibitors will exhibit auto parts, 20% of exhibitors will display maintenance and auto service products, and the rest will exhibit accessories, maintenance equipment, diesel equipment and car protection products as well as some automation systems.

Volkswagen's booth at Shanghai Auto Parts Fair covers an area of ​​450 square meters and consists of 5 companies: Volkswagen China (Beijing Office), Shanghai Volkswagen, Changchun FAW-Volkswagen, Shanghai Art Crafts Company and Volkswagen AG Germany. They will display three models of cars at the venue: the Phaeton, the Tauron and theCaddyServicemobile, as well as all their original equipment, accessories and tools. From January to September 2004, Volkswagen had the most production and sales in China, with a production capacity of 758,000 vehicles (a 10% increase each year) and a sales volume of 705,000 vehicles (a yearly increase of 9 %).

In addition, the China Foreign Investment Association’s Quality Brand Protection Committee (QICA) also set up a joint booth at the 2004 Shanghai Auto Parts Fair. The Quality Assurance Committee consists of more than 100 international companies, focusing on counterfeit products. Invests 30 billion U.S. dollars in assets at the center. Daimler-Chrysler (China) Investment Co., Ltd., General Motors China, Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd., and Japan's Denso Corporation will send representatives to the show to showcase original genuine auto parts. Representatives of the QPC will host the lectures held during the exhibition.

Shanghai is a major automobile industry in China.
