Coal-fired desulfurization technology helps energy conservation and emission reduction

Recently, China's Private Technology Promotion Association invited experts from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the National Energy Administration to review the environmental protection coal-based sulfur removal and dust-reducing emulsion project developed by Beijing Intercontinental Rongyuan Industrial Science and Technology Co., Ltd. The experts all agreed that this project is another major innovation in chemical energy-saving and emission-reduction technologies in the coal-fired field, which has opened up a new way for low-cost, high-efficiency, flue gas desulphurization for coal-fired companies, and has broad market prospects.
China's sulfur dioxide emissions have exceeded 20 million tons for many years in a row. The economic losses caused by acid rain have reached tens of billions of yuan each year. The amount of sulfur dioxide emissions from burning coal accounts for more than 90% of the total amount of sulfur dioxide emissions. It is understood that as of now, China's independent research and development of coal-fired desulfurization technology industrialization is not much, and both the introduction of technology or domestic technology, one-time investment is relatively large, only a small number of applications in large coal-fired projects.
The person in charge of Beijing Intercontinental Rongyuan told reporters that its environmentally friendly coal-saving sulfur removal and dust-reducing emulsion was developed from light hydrocarbons, sodium tetraborate, sodium nitrate, sodium chlorate, sodium peroxide, sodium dichromate, and sodium carbonate. When chemical reactions are combined, there is no "three wastes" in the production process, and the production cost is low.
The user report of this product shows that after adding environmentally friendly coal-removing sulfur and dust-reducing emulsion to the raw coal, the coal combustion temperature can be increased by 100°C to 250°C to allow the coal to be fully burned; the internal water and metal in the coal can be made available. Compounds and non-metal oxides also participate in combustion, reducing the total ash content by 30% to 40%. In addition, the product has significant effects in removing sulfur, dust, and descaling, which can reduce the emission of sulfur dioxide by more than 50%; reduce the smoke and dust emissions by more than 65%; long-term use can reduce boiler furnace fouling, thereby prolonging the service life of the boiler.
The product has obtained national patents and has formed a series of formulas, which are suitable for the use of different pot (kiln) furnaces in petrochemical, chemical, power, metallurgical and other industries. At present, there are about 400,000 Taiwan-type industrial boilers, 180,000 industrial furnaces, and 112 catalytic cracking units in China, and the power industry has 190 million kilowatts of thermal power installed capacity. According to reports, the investment required for the coal-fired desulphurization facilities required for the installed thermal power capacity per kilowatt is approximately 600 to 1,500 yuan, and the market for desulfurization is huge.
It is reported that at present, Beijing Intercontinental Rongyuan Company has established a production line with a daily output of 2 tons of emulsion.
