Thai Industry Minister Chakramont Pasukavanich said recently that the Thai government has proposed support for the construction of rubber processing plant projects, including foreign investors invited at the end of 2014. At present, eight Chinese tire companies are interested, and three of them have been approved by the Investment Promotion Committee Office. The total investment reached 269 million baht.

It is inferred that investors will apply for the construction of a tire factory, with an estimated production capacity of 2.2 million pieces per year. At present, Thailand's domestic glue consumption is 560,000 tons/year, and in 2016 it will reach 1 million tons/year, accounting for 25% of the national production capacity of 4.6 million tons.

According to the project, in order to support the development of the rubber industry, Thailand Industrial Development Zone, Thailand Industrial Park and other related institutions have prepared to establish rubber city. At present, the rubber city has been set up in the area of ​​the Songkhla area of ​​the special economic zone Kanchanavanich Road, with a total area of ​​about 1800 rai.
