Petrochemical pallets will enter the era of robotics

The reporter learned at the 3rd Pan-Pearl River Delta Provincial City (Nanchang) Expo held in early June that, with the modernization of enterprises and the improvement of automation, the large-scale petrochemical companies' manual palletizing or overhead palletizing machines are increasingly unable to meet the needs of continuous development. The need for industrial production, palletizing methods will soon enter the robot era.

Currently in the petroleum and chemical industries, especially petrochemical companies have begun to use a large number of machine pallets. The advantages of replacing machine code pallets with manual palletizing are becoming more and more obvious. They not only meet the needs of continuous production, but also have high work efficiency, save a lot of labor costs, and increase the automation level of the company. However, at present, the general palletizing equipment of China's petrochemical companies are also overhead palletizers. In Europe, the United States, Japan and other economically developed countries and regions, especially Japan, robotic palletizers (manipulators) have long been widely used. According to relevant statistics, there are 10,850 sets of robots in use in Japan alone, covering petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, grain, oil and food, and large-scale logistics and warehousing. In addition, there are 419 sets in South Korea, 171 sets in Taiwan, and 246 sets in the United Kingdom. . The reason why developed countries are keen to use robots is mainly because the technical and economic indicators of robots are all superior to traditional palletizers. Their maximum stacking capacity can reach 2,800 bags per hour, while overhead stackers only have 1600 bags per hour. The manipulator's electric power is only 4k~6.5kW, while the overhead palletizer is 22k~29kW; the number of parts manipulators is only 1350 pieces, the overhead palletizer is 2100~2500 pieces, and the manipulator's failure rate and maintenance cost are low; the manipulator footprint small. Because of the superior performance of robots, it is of great significance to promote them in the petroleum and chemical industries.

It is understood that in 2005, Changzhou Bo'er Seiko Powder Engineering Co., Ltd. introduced the advanced palletizing technology from Japan Fujio Conveyor Industry Co., Ltd., and jointly developed a manipulator that can adapt to the upgrading of China's petrochemical companies. Now there are 30 machines. The suite serves the petroleum and chemical companies in Zhangjiagang, Chevron, Jiangsu, Guangzhou Zhongling EG, and Ningbo Lucky Gold. At this Expo, the company’s FUJIACE palletizer manipulator became a major highlight, with the fastest palletizing speed reaching 2800 bags per hour. According to Zhao Hongfu, head of Changzhou Boji Precision Industry Co., Ltd., the manipulator has features such as simple structure, low energy consumption, major components, low failure rate, easy maintenance, low maintenance cost, high site utilization efficiency, and flexible application.
